Founded in Paris in 2018, ALEZOR Research provides a selective flow of actionable long and short equity ideas to professional investors.
Our work is designed to support investment decisions, not to add another layer of market commentary. We focus on situations where earnings, guidance or an identifiable catalyst may create a meaningful gap between market expectations and the likely stock reaction.
Our approach
Earnings quality is the starting point of our process. We assess the sustainability of reported performance, compare it with embedded expectations and identify the catalyst that could cause the market to reprice the security.
Each idea sets out the investment thesis, expected stock reaction, time horizon, key risks and the conditions that would weaken or invalidate our view. Positioning, valuation, volatility and liquidity are incorporated where they materially affect the opportunity.

Alejandro Acosta
ALEZOR Research was founded by Alejandro Acosta, a financial analyst with more than 15 years of experience across equity investing, credit analysis and corporate finance.
Alejandro holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and a Magistère in Finance from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He passed all three CFA Program examinations, completing Level III in 2013.
He is also the author of Competitive Advantage of the Long-term Investor, a guide to strategic thinking in markets. The book examines the competitive advantages available to long-term investors, practical approaches to intrinsic valuation and examples of earnings-quality issues identified in investment cases.
